Students

Students in the sidebar lists every kid at the studio, A to Z by last name. Families lists households; Students lists the kids in them.

The list

Each row shows the student’s age, their family, the days they come in (M T W T F S S, with their days filled in), their classes, and how many hours a week that adds up to. Search by name or email, or pick Active or Inactive. An Allergy tag means the student has allergies on file. Point at it to read them.

A student’s page

• This week lays out Monday to Sunday with each class at its time, so you can see their week at a glance.
• Classes lists the same classes in a table: days, time, room, instructor, and hours a week, with the total at the bottom. A trial or a class that hasn’t started yet is tagged.
• Attendance shows the last 90 days, newest first, and the percentage present is at the top of the page.
• Past classes lists classes they’ve left, with when and why.
• Details has their email and phone, and your custom fields.

The front desk, owners, and admins can Edit the student, open Medical, and Enroll them in a class from here. Instructors can look but not change anything.

Notes about a student

Write a note on the student’s page to keep it with that kid: “Ready for Ballet 2 in January”. It’s saved with their family’s notes too, tagged About and the student’s name, so the desk sees it on the family page.
