Set up registration
Everything about how new families join is in Settings → Registration.
Owners and admins change these settings. Front desk staff can see them.
Share your link and QR code
Under Your registration link:
- Copy puts the link on your clipboard, to paste on your website, in emails, or in your Instagram bio.
- Open shows the page families see.
- QR code opens a one-page sign with your studio’s name, Register your family, a QR code, and the link. Click Print to print it for the front desk, or save it as a PDF for a flyer.
The link only works while New families can register from your public class list is on in Settings → Online sign-up.
Ask for a card or bank account
If your studio takes payments through Stripe (see Payments with Stripe), the last step of registration can save a card or bank account for autopay. Under Card or bank account at sign-up, choose:
- Ask, but let families skip: families see the payment step and can tap Skip for now. They can add it later in the parent app.
- Require it: there’s no skip button. If a family leaves before adding one, the parent app shows Finish registering until they do.
- Don’t ask: no payment step. Families pay from their bill when they’re ready.
Charge a registration fee
Enter an amount under Registration fee and click away to save it. It’s a one-time charge per family, added to their bill as “Registration fee” when they register. If they save a card or bank account at the end, it’s charged right away. Leave it blank for no fee.
Add policies and waivers
New families read and agree to each policy, then sign once by typing their full name. Spotter keeps a copy of the exact text each family signed, with their name and the date.
Click Add under Policies and waivers
Give it a Title and the text
For example, “Tuition policy”, “Liability waiver”, or “Photo release”. Write the text the way families should read it.
Click Save
Each policy shows its version and how many families have signed it.
- Edit a policy to change it. Changing the text makes a new version for new families. Families who signed the old version keep the copy they signed.
- Remove stops asking new families to sign it. Signatures already given are kept.
To see what a family signed, open their family page. Signed policies lists each one with who signed and when. Click one to read the exact text.
Ask your own questions
Custom fields marked Asked at sign-up appear on the form: family questions (like “How did you hear about us?”) on the details step, and student questions (like a T-shirt size) with each child. See Notes and custom fields.
