Automatic notices
Spotter emails parents when something changes for their child, so the front desk doesn’t have to. Every notice is on for a new studio.
| Notice | When it goes out | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Waitlist spot | A spot opens and the child is next on the waitlist. The spot is held for 48 hours. | The child’s family |
| Class cancelled | You cancel one meeting of a class, today or later. Any note you add is included. | Families with a child on that day’s roster |
| Studio closed | You add a closure that hasn’t already passed. | Families with a child in a class that meets during it |
| Absence | Staff mark a child absent today. | The child’s family |
| Makeup booked | A makeup is booked, by staff or a parent. | The child’s family |
A few details:
- Absence emails wait 10 minutes after the mark. If you fix a mis-tap in that time, nothing is sent. It isn’t sent when the parent reported the absence themselves. See Attendance.
- Waitlist spot tells the parent when the hold ends and to accept or decline in Spotter.
- Class cancelled and Absence remind parents they can book a makeup in Spotter.
Receipts and statements you email from Billing also show on the Messages page.
