How families register
A new family registers from your studio’s link in about 5 minutes. The form is a few short steps with a progress bar at the top and a back arrow to change anything. What they’ve typed is kept on their phone or computer, so closing the page doesn’t lose it.
Start registration
They open your link and tap Start registration. If they tapped a class on Browse classes, it’s already picked.
About you
First and last name, email, mobile phone, and home address. Add another parent or guardian is optional. With an email, that person can use the parent app too.
Your kids
For each child: first name, birthday, and allergies (None or Yes, with what they’re allergic to). Last name, gender, and notes for the studio are optional, along with any student questions you ask. Add another child adds more, up to 8.
Pick classes
Each child sees the classes that fit their age, with days, time, tuition, and seats left. Tapping a class picks it. For a class with room, they can choose Enroll or Try a class first, which books one trial in the class’s next meeting with a free seat. Full classes say Waitlist. This step is optional: Skip for now and you can help them pick later.
A few more things
An emergency contact (someone other than them, with a phone number), your family questions, and anything they’d like you to know. Their note is pinned on the family page.
Studio policies
If you have policies, they read each one, check I agree, and sign by typing their full name.
Review and finish
They see everything on one page, with Edit next to each part, and the registration fee if you charge one.
Verify their email
Next, they tap Email me a code and enter the 6-digit code from their email. That code is their parent app account, so they sign in the same way later. If their email already has an account (from the parent app or another studio), they get a code to sign in instead. Depending on your sign-in settings, they may also be asked to create a password.
As soon as the code is accepted, Spotter creates the family with everyone and everything they entered: the guardians, kids, medical notes, emergency contact, your questions, the signed policies, the registration fee, and the classes (enrolled, trial, or waitlist).
Save a way to pay
If you ask for one, they add a card or bank account. It’s saved for autopay, and the registration fee is charged to it right away. See Set up registration.
Done
They see You’re registered with what happened for each child, for example “Mila is in Acro 1” or “Leo is on the Ballet waitlist”, and a button to Open the parent app.
Each email can register once per studio. A parent who’s already at your studio is told so and pointed to the parent app to add a class.
