Online sign-upOverview

Online sign-up

Online sign-up lets families sign up for classes without calling the front desk. There are two parts, and you can turn each on separately:

  • A public class list for new families. Anyone with the link can browse your classes. A new family creates a parent account, adds their kids, and registers in a few minutes.
  • Adding classes in the parent app. Families already at your studio sign their kids up from the class calendar in the parent app.

Either way, if a class has an open seat the child is enrolled right away. If it’s full, they go on the waitlist.

Turn it on

Only owners and admins can change these settings. Everyone else sees whether they’re on or off.

Open Settings → Online sign-up

Choose who can sign up

  • New families can register from your public class list
  • Families already here can add classes in the parent app

Each saves as soon as you check or uncheck it. If you’ve never set the second one, it follows the first.

Share your class list

When public registration is on, your link appears under Your class list. It’s your Spotter web address followed by /s/ and your studio’s short name. Put it on your website, in emails, or on social media.

What’s on the public class list

The page says Classes at your studio’s name and lists your classes grouped by program. Families can filter by day. Each class shows its days and time, when it starts (or runs through), monthly tuition, and the instructor.

  • Full classes show Waitlist.
  • Classes with 3 or fewer seats left show how many are left.
  • Private lessons and classes that have already ended aren’t listed.

Anyone can look without signing in. If public registration is off, the page says This studio isn’t taking online sign-ups.

How a new family registers

Tap a class

This opens Register with your studio, with the class at the top. If the class is full, the parent sees that registering puts their child on the waitlist.

Create a parent account

The parent taps Create account, or Sign in if they already have one. They come right back to the form after.

Fill in their details

Under You: first name, last name, and mobile phone. Their email comes from their account.

Under Your child: first name, last name, and birthday. Add another child adds more, up to 8. With more than one child, they choose Who’s taking the class.

Any custom fields you’ve set to be asked at sign-up appear here too. They’re all optional. See Families to set them up.

Tap the register button

The button reads Register and enroll, or Register and join the waitlist if the class is full.

The parent sees You’re registered! and a button to Open the parent app. The new family shows up in Families right away, with the parent as the primary and billing contact. If their child joined the waitlist, they’re told they’ll get an email when a spot opens.

Each email can register once per studio. If a parent who’s already at your studio tries, they’re told they’re already registered and pointed to the parent app to add a class.

How current families add classes

When Families already here can add classes in the parent app is on, parents open the Calendar tab in the parent app. It shows the same classes as your public list. They tap a class and choose Sign up, or Join waitlist if it’s full. They can also tap Add a child to add a new kid to their family first.

When it’s off, families still see the calendar, but a class tells them to ask the front desk to join.
