Create your studio
Creating a studio sets up your Spotter account and makes you its owner. It takes about a minute.
Spotter is invite-only for now. You can create a studio once your spot is approved. Until then, you’ll see You’re on the list. after you sign in.
Create your account
Go to the sign-up page and click Sign up with Google, or enter your first name, last name, email, and a password. If you use email, Spotter sends a 6-digit code to confirm it.
Name your studio
On Set up your studio., enter your Studio name (2 to 80 characters).
Pick what you teach
Choose from What you teach: Gymnastics, Dance, Swim, Cheer, Martial arts, Music, or Something else. This sets the words Spotter uses on screens, bills, and the parent app. You can change it later. See Studio type and words.
Check your time zone
Time zone starts with your computer’s time zone. Change it if your studio is somewhere else. Spotter uses it to decide what “today” is at your studio.
Add your first location
Under First location, enter a Location name. Leave it blank to use the studio name. Address (optional) can be left empty.
Click Create studio
Spotter creates your studio, makes you the Owner, and opens the Today page with your setup checklist.
What you get
- A studio with you as its owner.
- One starter custom field, How did you hear about us?, which new families answer when they sign up online. You can change or delete it in Settings → Custom fields. See Families.
- A web address for your public class list, based on your studio name. It stays private until you turn on Online sign-up.
