Parent limits and the snack tab
The snack tab is how a family’s kids buy at the stand on the family’s bill. Parents control it themselves in the parent app. They can turn it off, or set a weekly limit that applies to each child.
Parents set these rules. Staff can’t change them, but the desk sees them on the Concessions screen before every sale.
The Snack tab section only shows in the parent app when your studio has at least one item for sale at the stand.
Turn the tab on or off (parents)
Open Family in the parent app
Find Snack tab
Flip the Concession stand switch
When it’s off, the row reads “Off. Your kids can’t buy on your account.” When it’s on, “Snacks and drinks go on your bill.”
Set a weekly limit (parents)
Tap Weekly limit
It shows under the switch when the tab is on.
Pick a limit
Choose No limit, or $5, $10, $15, $20, or $30 a week. The limit is per child, Monday to Sunday.
Below the limit, each child is listed with what they spent this week, like “$6.50 of $10.00”.
What the desk sees
On the Concessions screen, each student shows Tab off, $X left this week, or what they’ve spent this week. Spotter won’t put a sale on the bill when the tab is off or the sale is over what’s left. See Sell at the stand.
Kids ordering from their phone see the same limit, and an order waiting at the counter counts toward it. See Phone orders from kids.
