The parent app
The parent app is where you keep up with your kids’ classes and your bill without calling the studio. You can see this week’s classes, report an absence, book a makeup, sign up for classes (if your studio allows it), and pay. Everything updates live: when the studio cancels a class or posts tuition, you see it right away.
It works on your phone and on a computer. The screens are the same; on a computer they’re laid out wider.
Studios: this section is written for parents. Share these pages with your families as they are.
How you sign in
There’s no invite or separate parent account to set up. Spotter links you to your family by the email address your studio has on file for you.
- Open Spotter and sign in with that email. You can use a password, a code emailed to you, or Continue with Google.
- Spotter finds every family where you’re listed as a parent or guardian and opens the parent app.
If you’re on more than one family (for example, at two studios), you can switch between them on the Family screen.
Emergency contacts don’t get access to the parent app. Only parents and guardians on the family do.
“We couldn’t find your family”
You’ll see this screen when you’re signed in but your email isn’t on any family. It shows the email you signed in with. To fix it, do one of these:
- Sign in with the email you gave the studio. Use the account menu to sign out, then sign back in with the right address.
- Ask the front desk to add this email to your family. Once they do, sign in again and your family shows up.
Getting around
The app has five tabs: Home, My classes, Calendar, Billing, and Family. On a phone they’re along the bottom; on a computer they’re down the left side.
