Messages
Messages is your studio’s email log. Spotter emails parents on its own when something changes for their child, like a cancelled class or a booked makeup. You can also write to everyone, one class, or one family. Every email, automatic or written, is listed here with who got it.
Who can do what: everyone on your team can see Messages. Owners, admins, and front desk staff can send a message. Only owners and admins choose which automatic emails go out.
The Messages page
Click Messages in the sidebar. Each row shows the subject, what kind of email it is (Waitlist spot, Class cancelled, Studio closed, Absence, Makeup booked, Receipt, or Message), who it went to, who sent it, and when. On the right you’ll see how many were sent, not sent, or failed.
Click a row to read the email and see each recipient with Sent, Not sent, or Failed, and the reason when there is one.
Emails go to each child’s parents and guardians who have an email address, in every household the child is in. Each address gets one copy. Parents can reply, and every email has a button that opens Spotter.
To see the emails one family got, open the family’s page and look at Emails. See Families.
If you see “Family emails are off for this deployment” at the top of Messages or in Settings, emails are saved here but families don’t receive them. Those recipients show as Not sent.
